This new seed poster and vibrant masterpiece was created by Minneapolis Artist, Laura Geiselman with some "seed" origin ideas from Zachary of North Circle. It was Laura's idea to have a ten-sided shape, a decagon which was a great way to show the three realms going on in the piece. We found that the decagon symbolizes alignment as well as the evolution of the human soul's consciousness in which we found pleasant and fitting for the piece.

Laura shows varieties we currently sell or plan to sell in the near future to feature and named those varieties. The integration of creatures and the ecosystem around us symbolizes the wildness around us in wild wonderful nature. In the center is the farm in which there is a true and needed human interaction with nature, cultivating crops to be raised for food in a domesticated fashion, where the crops are a little less wild, though the fox represents the wildness that is still there.

The varieties of species within the decagon represent the choice we take when cultivating a relationship between specific plants to have a relationship with and take on to work with when farming. When we choose a species to work with with our seed company, it will last the length of our lives because we are saving seed of those varieties, the living relatives and caring for them, selecting representative to be high yielding, disease resistant year time we grow those plants out.

Everything is relationship and everything is relative. The animals, insects and creatures are shown with their own relationship with our plants and ecosystem. The roots of Organic Agriculture speaks to not just thinking or caring about our farm, but how we affect the entire ecosystem with our farm work, including soil health. This is a true expression of what Organic Agriculture intended to mean at the Rodale Institute at its founding, and it's what guides us in our journey.

The original is hanging up on our wall in our seed pack house and brings such life and reminder of why we do what we do, and continues to inspire. We hope to inspire you if you choose to purchase a copy of this poster.
