Although not a true "sunflower" as we know them, this landrace from native Central America is a common and popular "sunny" wildflower! These stunning orange flowers have velvety leaves and are butterfly magnets, particularly for Monarchs. Excellent for cutting and arrangements. Will bloom vigorously all the way until frost. Will grow up to 48 inches tall!
Growing Tips
Broadcast seeds outdoors after last frost. Plant in full sun, with well drained soil and this lively bloom will make itself right at home! Sow Tithonia seeds in groups of 2 - 3 seeds spaced 12 inches apart or broadcast seeds into well tilled soil, rake and press into soil with 1/8 covering seeds. Water regularly until germination. Remove spent blossoms frequently to prolong blooming.
Certified Organic. 100 seeds in packet.
