A new variety Mixed with Minnesota heirloom ‘Hayes White’ with ‘Honey Badger’ and ‘Who Get’s Kissed’ from Bill Tracey, this bicolor is on the whiter side and has a very mellow texture and sweet flavor, perfect for corn soup. Bi-color kernels are tender, sweet, and have a wonderful smooth texture. Compact plants are 5-6’ tall. Ears are large and develop over a prolonged period, longer than most corns. These seeds have good emergence in cooler soils, so it can be planted a bit earlier than most heirloom corns – a real boon for northern growers.

Growing Tips

Sow 1-1.5 inches deep in tilled soil 7-8 inches apart in 30 inch rows. Fertilize with composted manure or with fertillizer of choice as needed. Plant after danger of frost in spring. Harvest when ears feel full.
