Heart shaped chili pepper perfect for stuffing, drying, or sauces. Famous for the Mexican dish ‘chili relleno’ stuffed with Mexican cheese. Peppers have medium-thick walls averaging 4-6” long. Mild when green, hot when red.
Growing Tips
Start indoors in 80 degree temp about 1/4” deep 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Transplant well after danger of frost and ideally when night temps don’t go lower than 50F. Sow plants 18-24” apart. Plant in full sun. Do not need to stake plants. Fertilize with fish emulsion, compost or a soluble, complete fertilizer.
