This beautiful sweet and prolific red pepper is the result of a breeding project including OP varieties: King of the North, King Crimson and Carmagnola Rosso selected for short-season, high vigor, disease-resistence and sweet flavor. Fruits are 6” long and 4 inches wide. They have thick walls and turn from green to bright red when mature.

Start indoors about 1/4” deep 6-8 weeks before the last frost in 80 degree temp. Transplant well after danger of frost and ideally when night temps don’t go lower than 50F. Sow plants 24-36” apart. Plant in full sun. Don’t need to stake plants. Fertilize with fish emulsion or a soluble, complete fertilizer. Seed save after fruits are fully ripened and dry seeds.
